Roger Eugene Dixon, 76, Hamilton, MO, passed away on July 27, 2021, at the Cameron Regional Medical Center, Cameron, MO. Roger lived and grew up in Hamilton and previously lived in Daviess County, MO.

Roger was born on November 19, 1944, in Hamilton, to Forrest and Betty (Moss) Dixon. He graduated from the Penney High School, Hamilton, in 1962, and then attended and graduated from Central Missouri State University, Warrensburg, MO. He honorably served his country in the Army during the Vietnam conflict serving from 1967-1969.

He was a co-owner of Dixon Fertilizer and Feed in Hamilton, and farmed. Roger was a member of the Hamilton Federated Church, Hamilton, the Hamilton American Legion Post #285, and he enjoyed attending auctions and collecting antique toys, irons, furniture, and getting any good deals.

Preceding him in death were his parents; sister-Melody Pease; and two grandchildren.

On December 17, 1967, he married Connie Linville at the Hamilton Federated Church. She survives of the home.

Additional survivors: Children-Daniel (Becky) Dixon, Hamilton; and Dana (Craig) Sterling, St. Joseph, MO; Grandchildren-Ethan (Kala) Dixon and Christian Dixon, all of Maryville, MO; and Ava Dixon, Hamilton; Sister-Sue (Ernie) Burnett, Hamilton; and Brother-Kenny (Kim) Dixon, Hamilton.

A family memorial service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Roger's memory may be made to the Hamilton R-II School district's elementary, middle school or high school libraries.
