Visitation will be from 1 - 6 p.m. Tuesday, with family to greet friends from 4 - 6 p.m. at Headley Funeral Chapel, Augusta. Graveside service 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, at the Douglass Cemetery.
Mr. Zimmerman was born on a farm near Atlanta, Kan. on Jan. 26, 1914, the son of the late Albert E. and Nellie E. (Pierce) Zimmerman. He was a 56 year member of the Douglass Masonic Lodge and he enjoyed gardening as well as hunting and fishing.
On Aug. 3, 1935 he married Mabel F. DeFore in El Dorado. She preceded him in death on Sep. 10, 2004. A brother and a sister preceded him in death as well.
He is survived by nieces, nephews and many friends.
