David Carmack Henry, 24, of Byron, died Saturday, May 8, 2021. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 14, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at Sardis-Heard Funeral Home and Cremation Center. The family will greet friends following the service until 8:00 p.m. Masks are required. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

David was born and raised in Warner Robins, Georgia. He had a passion for import cars and Mustangs. He loved social media marketing on topics including cars, food, and animals. If David was your friend, you had a friend for life. He would tell you he loved you and hug you. He had an infectious laugh, while always trying to make you laugh, as well. He was always there if you needed him, no matter time or place. David loved to pick on and aggravate his younger brother.

David was preceded in death by grandparents, Stanley David Henry, Phil Amerson, and Tina Amerson; and great grandparents, Carmack Henry, Dorothy Henry, John Palmer, Gladys Palmer; and great aunt, Saundra Palmer Walls.


David is survived by his father, David Wayne Henry of Byron; mother, Tonya Amerson Peacock (Chad) of Lizella; brother, John Paul Henry; grandparents, Rodger and Beverly Sexton of Byron; grandmother, Becky Henry of Bartlett, Tennessee; aunt, Dana Henry Payne (Ron) of Charleston; uncles, Michael Shane Sexton (Kenya) of Kathleen, Steven Amerson, Jason Amerson, Alex Amerson, and Ryan Amerson; great aunts and uncles, Linda Palmer Kitchell (Les) of Mountain Home, Arkansas, Jane Palmer Pippin (Vince) of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Donna Henry Dickey of Blytheville, Arkansas, and Alice Sims of Valdosta, Georgia; and cousins, Makayla Wilder, Haley Alexis Sexton, Miya Faith Sexton, Ashlynn Victoria Sexton, and Alison Sims.
