Thomas Henry Dietrich was born into eternal life, Saturday July 28, 2018 following a brief illness. Thomas passed away peacefully at Trinity Village Long Term Care Center, Kitchener at the age of 78.
Thomas was a devout Roman Catholic, and member at St. Louis RC Parish in Waterloo, Ontario.
Always giving and caring, Thomas was deeply connected to his family and faith. Thomas always had a smile and a kind word for others and was always eager to help those around him.
His family and friends, though saddened by his passing, are comforted by the fact that he is at peace. We love you Dad, we love you Grandpa.
Father of Dale and his wife Anne-Louise, Brian and his wife Kyoung Hee. Brother of Paul (Anita), Mark (Marjorie), Margaret (Walter Hinsperger), Catherine, Richard, Leona (Wayne Henhoeffer), and brother-in-law Robert Murphy (Sharon).
Thomas was predeceased by his wife Joan (nee Murphy), parents William and Oliva and brother Frederick.
Thomas also leaves behind five grandchildren, Ben (Jennifer), Blake, Zachary, Gregory and Hannah, and great granddaughter Paisley.
The family wishes to thank Trinity Village and their extraordinary staff for the exemplary care provided to Thomas and for making his stay a happy one during his final years.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Thomas with his family during visitation at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Thursday, August 2, 2018 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Parish Prayers will be held at 8:45 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Louis RC Church 53 Allen St. E., Waterloo on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Phil Reilly as Celebrant. Interment to follow at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo. Following the committal, friends are invited to join the family at the St. Louis RC Church Parish Hall for refreshments.
