Sharrel "Bus" Leffler, age 82 of Prospect, passed away unexpectedly Monday, July 26, 2021 at his home.

Bus was born June 10, 1939 in Marion, the son of Frederick W. and Genevive (Doering) Leffler. He graduated from Pleasant High School in the class of 1957. In 1962, Bus was drafted in the United States Army where he proudly served his country. After his time in the service he went to work for the railroad and retired as a Conductor after 44 years of service.

Bus was a talented athlete. He played basketball and baseball and was named MVP numerous times. He was also quite the fisherman and an avid vegetable gardener. Bus loved to spend time with his friends playing many hands of Euchre and he never missed the weekly special friends group that went out to eat.

He is survived by his children: Daniel Leffler and Deborah Lynn (Kande Puretz) Leffler; their mother, Linda Leffler; grandchildren: Carter Jacob and Gavin Wesley Leffler; siblings: Charles Leffler, Ardith Leffler, and Arthur (Marge) Leffler and many nieces and nephews. Bus is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Lori B. Leffler and sister Sharon June Lill.

Visitation will be Monday, August 2, 2021 at Trinity Lutheran Church, 4535 Smeltzer Rd, Marion from 10AM to 12Noon; Memorial service will follow at 12Noon with Pastor Rob Lill officiating.
