David G. Lawson, 76, of Maltzan-Sheridan Rd.,Sherburne, NY, passed away Sunday, July 25, 2021 at his home with his family at his side.

He was born on November 15, 1944 in Hartford, CT, a son of the late Stephen and Virginia Lawson and received his education in Burnt Hills area schools. On August 18, 2018, David married Laura A. Aley in Sherburne. David had worked at Webb & Sons in Sherburne for 35 years until retiring. He was also a dairy farmer and logger who loved farming, haying and being on his tractors. He enjoyed roller skating, was the "skate cop" at the Earlville rink, and also taxied people to and from the rink.

Surviving are his wife, Laura; his mother-in-law, Donna Aley of Earlville; his children, Steven (Brenda) Lawson of Sherburne; Carol Hicks of North Norwich; Delores (Jeffrey) Llewellyn of Earlville and Katlin Bassett of Cincinnatus; a sister, Virginia Gunzelmann of RI; brothers, Edward (Barbara) Lawson of FL; Richard (Nancy) Lawson of Burnt Hills; step-sons, Timothy (Hannah) Collins of North Norwich; Brandan Collins of Sidney; 10 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

Friends are invited to call at the Burgess & Tedesco Funeral Home, 10 S. Main St., Sherburne on Friday, July 30, 2021 from Noon to 2pm.

The funeral service will follow immediately at 2pm with the burial in West Hill Cemetery, Sherburne
