Graveside service for Mrs. Betty Sue Tweatt Howard, age 75, of Madison, AL, will be held at 10:00 AM EST on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Chattanooga National Cemetery (1200 Bailey Ave, Chattanooga, TN 37404). There will be no visitation prior to the graveside service.

Betty was born on March 10, 1946 in Clarksville, TN to the late Bailey Gordon and Doris Elizabeth Evans Thweatt. She worked as a secretary for the US Government in building the apache helicopter. Mrs. Howard married the late Carnice Noble Howard on August 31, 1963. Betty passed away on July 27, 2021 at Huntsville Hospital, Hospice Family Care, surrounded by her loving family.

She is survived by her sons, Clark (Himeko) Howard of Madison, AL, and Kaven (Linda) Howard of Huntsville, AL; her beloved pet Sandy; grandchildren, Andrew (Candra) Hoeppner, Phillip (Tabbatha) Hoeppner, Cody Land, Johnathan (Casey) Howard, Christina Howard, Destiny Howard, and Aliyah Howard; great-grandchildren, Chloee Hoeppner, Maverick Hoeppner, Claridy Hoeppner and Ramsey Howard. In addition to her parents and husband, Betty was preceded in death by her daughter, Karen Faye Prince.
