Norman Glenn "Nonie" Johnson, Sr., 89, of Louisville, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2021 at the Valhalla Post Acute of Louisville. Nonie was born on March 1, 1932 in Louisville, Kentucky to parents, Leonard Clarence & Ada Evelyn (Meadows) Johnson.

He was retired from G.E. in the Maintenance Department. He was a former Car Man of the Louisville & Nashville Railroad, served in the Kentucky National Guard with Battery C, 138th Field Artillery Battalion and was also a Free Mason.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence & Evelyn (Meadows) Johnson; his wife, Jean Johnson; son, Johnny Johnson; grandson, Ryan Anderson; and two brothers, Keith Johnson & Robert Johnson.

Left to cherish his memory is his children, Rick (Belinda) Elmore, Glenn (Linda) Johnson, Jr., Jamie (Dawn) Johnson; grandchildren, Chris (Holly) Elmore, Tracey (Kevin) Anderson, Cary (Jessica) Johnson, Tiffany (Jeff) Williams, Richard Caruso, Jaimie (Matt) Johnson, Kayla (Steven) Coleman, Ally Johnson; 13 – great – grandchildren; one – great – great – grandchild; one sister, Joann Johnston, plus a host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. with burial in the Evergreen Cemetery & Garden Mausoleums. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m.
