JOHN ARNOLD AUSTIN, III of Fairview, NC died at the John F Keever, Jr Solace Center - he was the son of John, II and Mary Alleene Inscore Porter.
John was an alumnus of Fayetteville State University where he received a B.S. in Education and graduated Cum Laude. After 23 years of service in the U.S. Army, which included service during the Vietnam War, he went to work for Brevard County, FL as a librarian where he eventually retired. Surviving is his wife of 39 years, Mun Cha Kwak Austin; children, Sheila Austin Jenkins (Kyle) of NC and Scott William Austin (Melissa Fox Austin) of Sanford, FL; siblings, Mary Cornelius of Cincinnati, OH, David (Nona) Austin of Hartford, TN and Molly Scoggins of Ardmore, AL; grandchildren, Dawson Everett Jenkins of Fairview, NC and Alexander Fox Austin of Sanford, FL.
