He was born on December 27, 1943 in St. Louis, Mo., the son of Henry Sr. and F. June (Furse) Henderson. He was married on September 5, 1970 in St. Louis, Mo., to Joyce Jeanette (Short) Henderson who resides at the home.
Hank was a graduate from Augusta High School.
After Hank graduated high school, he joined the United States Air Force where he began his career and love for computers. After the military, he started his civilian life working for McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis. He then worked for IBM and finished his career by retiring from the State of Missouri in the Internet Security Department.
Hank was also a drag racer, where he raced with his wife. He also enjoyed working on little projects on cars. Hank cherished spending time with his children, grandchildren, and his pets which he loved very much.
Survivors include: his loving wife, Joyce, of 51 years; sons, Chris Henderson (Carey) of Austin, TX, Wesley Henderson of Jefferson City, Mo., Nathan Henderson of Linn, Mo.; daughter Rebekah Henderson of Wardsville, Mo.; fourteen grandchildren, Emily, Abigail, Xaine, Brie, Dylan, Hayden, Haleigh, Nataleigh, Addyson, Dawson, Delaney, Corin, Chase, and June; and three great-grandchildren.
Hank was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Shirley Frickleton, Richard Henderson Sr. and sister-in-law Jeaneane Henderson.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Hopewell Christian Church in Barnett, Mo.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Hopewell Christian Church in Barnett, Mo. with Pastor Kenneth Cook officiating. Graveside services and interment with military honors will be held at Hopewell Christian Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Wounded Warriors.
