He was born in Orange and lived most of his life in the Alba area.
Dewayne had a personality that was larger than life and would give you the shirt off his back. There would not be a stray animal in Alba without a home if it crossed his path.
Survivors include his father, Gearld Taylor of Alba; mother, Judy Robinson Taylor of Tyler; two sons, Baily Taylor of Kemp and Klayton Karl of Kemp; two daughters, Whitney Rice and husband Matthew of Melissa and Brennan Paige Nielsen and husband Ben of Wichita Falls; sister, Delaine Lusk and husband Don of Tyler; three grandchildren, Mason, Colin, and Emerson; and numerous other relatives and friends.
The family will have a memorial service 2 p.m., Saturday, July 31, 2021, at The Venue on Sycamore St., Mineola, Texas.
