MOCKSVILLE - Mrs. Sue Smith Cuthrell Eudy passed away peacefully Saturday, July 24, 2021, at Davie Nursing and Rehabilitation.
She was born May 15, 1934, in Rowan County, to the late Albert and Nora Smith.
She graduated from Cooleemee High School and retired from Fiber Industries in Rowan County. Sue was a loyal member of Cooleemee United Methodist Church where she enjoyed her time as choir leader. Taking care of others was her life's mission.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a husband, Joe Cuthrell; brothers, Lawrence "Bo" Smith (Betty) and Richard Smith; and a sister, Hazel Ijames (Richard).
She is survived by her husband, Jack Eudy, her two children, Earl Cuthrell (Cindy) and Jo Anne Davis (Donnie); and step-son, Dan Eudy (Joanne); three grandchildren, Robin Davis (Amy), Chevis Cuthrell (Lianna), and Rebecca O'Neal (Ryan); six great-grandchildren, Tee Davis, Ty Davis, Thatcher Davis, Bella O'Neal, Carter Cuthrell, and Avery Cuthrell; several nieces and nephews; and many friends and neighbors.
A memorial graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 31, in Legion Memorial Park in Cooleemee, with Rev. Shelby Harbour officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Eaton Funeral Home.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Somerset Court for showing her such love and care and Davie Nursing and Rehabilitation for making her last weeks comfortable.
The Angels in heaven have a new choir member.
