Glenn Dwight Farmer 1951-2017

Glenn Dwight Farmer of Plano, Texas, passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2018. Glenn was born January 21, 1951, in Rio Grande City, Texas.

Glenn attended Barber College in Midland, Texas, and graduated in 1968. Glenn then moved to Fort Worth, Texas, where he began his long and fulfilling career as a barber. Glenn loved his job; he enjoyed listening to all his clients' stories. Glenn had a close and personal connection to his clients and considered them as friends. Glenn was an avid hunter who enjoyed nature and being outdoors. When dove, deer, or wild turkey season began he was off to the "Deer Lease" or his beloved birthplace Rio Grande City. Glenn and his wife Sharon were married for almost 30 years. They met on a blind date, January 1986, and were married June 11, 1988. Soon after they were married they bought a house and moved to Plano, Texas, where they have lived ever since.

Glenn is preceded in death by his mother Carmen Harry, his father Robert Farmer and his stepfather Ben Harry. Glenn is survived by his wife Sharon, his sister Mary Elizabeth and her husband Curtis Lindenbaum, his niece Bonnie and her husband Juan Tienda and their children Alexandra, John Paul, Elaina, Juan and Carmen, his stepson Terry Lehman, his stepdaughter Rachel Lehman and his step grandchildren Foster Lehman and Lillie Lehman.

A Rosary will be held Sunday, April 22, 2018, at 7:00 PM, at The Abbey Chapel, Restland Cementery , Dallas, Texas. The Funeral Service will be held Monday, April 23, 2018, at 1:00 PM, at Saint Mark Evangelists Catholic Church, 1201 Alma, Plano, Texas, followed by internment at Restland. Glenn left this earth too soon and will be sorely missed. He was a kind and giving man with a heart as big as Texas.
