PINE -- Isaac Hunt, 90, Justice of the Peace here from 1936 to 1974, died Saturday in his home here.

Born in Pine, he lived his entire life on the Hunt homestead. Mr. Hunt was a retired rancher, cattleman and farmer.

He was a bishop for 12 years in the Pine Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Survivors include his wife, Ina; a son, Dr. Burton P. Hunt; daughters, Mrs. Lois Fuller, Mrs. Ruby Simons and Mrs. Floyd Rice; four sisters; 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Pine Ward Chapel of the LDS Church.

Payson Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Isaac Schmutz is the fourth child born to Rosetta Schmutz and Alma Moroni Hunt.

He married Florence Carrie Poulter January 17, 1912 in Pine, Arizona. He built the house pictured for his young bride in 1912. Rough-sawn lumber was available and a big improvement over logs. Rooms were added for the four children that they had. Then Florence died.

Isaac then married Florence's widowed sister, Ina.
