Roger grew up in Butte, MT, graduated from high school in Helena, MT, and served in the Army Reserve for six years. He attended Carroll College and Ricks College then graduated from Brigham Young University. On August 13, 2010, he married Vicki Ann Bramwell. He worked as a school teacher, principal, and administrator for 30 years. He loved teaching and was influential to many students who remembered him years later. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served a mission in southern California. Roger enjoyed sports, gardening, bicycling, fast cars, dancing, and was a true patriot of this country. He enjoyed building homes, but most important was spending time with family and beautifying his home and yard. Survivors beside his loving wife included: brothers Dwight Barrett and Greg Barrett; children Adam (Stephanie), Jared (Aimee), Roger, Freeman (Renee), Sherry (Nate) Anderson, Sterling (Christine), Aaron and Golden (Julie); 33 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Funeral services held Wednesday, July 21st at Sand Creek 2nd Ward chapel at 2545 Mesa Street.
