A devoted family man, son, and brother he never had a bad word for anyone but an occasional dig at elected democrats in the federal government and to tease his big sister, who defended them.
Dedicated to his community and the people who lived there, Scott, or Scotty Boy to his close friends and family, was a source of joy for anyone who called him friend, husband, father, uncle, cousin or brother. Scott was 49 years old.
Born in Amsterdam, NY into a family of small business owners, Scott learned how to run a business from his Grandfather, Gilbert Wolfe of Gibby's Diner in Quaker Street, NY, his Mom and Dad, Christine and Dennis Wolfe of Wolfe's Market and Pizza in Quaker Street, NY and his Aunt and Uncle Colleen and Glen Glindmeyer also of Gibby's Diner.
A natural with people, headstrong and driven, Scott became a successful businessman in his own right after graduating from Johnson and Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island in 1992 with an Associate Degree in Culinary Arts.
His first job was at the Albany Marriott working as a line cook, he was later promoted to Sous Chef. Scott struck out on his own starting with pizza at his parents' store in Quaker street a few years later, and grew his business to also include wholesaling pizza to area school districts.
Shortly after meeting the love of his life, Lenore (Massarotti) Wolfe he moved his business to Cobleskill and bought a house. He fell in love with not only Lenore, but her two wonderful sons Danny and Mitchel and made them a family when he married her on October 5, 2013. He and Lenore have been making delicious pizza for the past 11 years.
While he was in business, Scott worked alongside Lenore, his father-in-law Vincent Massarotti, his brother-in law John Massarotti, and John's wife Michelle, Danny and Mitchell, and countless other family members - continuing the legacy of working with family set by his grandfather, his father and his uncle before him.
Scott loved B movies, and slapstick comedy. A fan of muscle cars, since playing with his own matchbox cars as a kid, he loved to go for adventures in his red Camero on Sundays with Lenore. Funny, generous, and lighthearted, even his sons Daniel Veley (19) and Mitchel Wrighter (26) would tag along from time to time, to join in the fun of teasing their mother relentlessly and belly laughing with Scott. He wasn't particularly good at telling jokes, but he used silly voices, played practical jokes and loved to laugh. He and his son Danny started a little youtube show called the Dan and Scott Show filled with B comedy movie humor and a couple of wigs. If you enjoy jokes between two knuckleheads, this show is worth a watch. He loved the Raiders football team, vacations with his family, his dog Maggie and the family cats.
But most of all he was deeply loved by those that survive him, his wife Lenore, his sons Mitchell Wrighter and Daniel Veley of Cobleskill, NY, his Dad and Mom, Dennis and Christine Wolfe of Quaker Street, NY, his sister and brother in law, Jennifer Wolfe and Joshua HIckey of Long Beach, NY, his three nieces, Phoenix and Athena Hickey of Long Beach, NY, Lisa Massarotti of Summit, NY, his in laws Vincent and Mary Massarotti of Cobleskill, NY and his brothers in Law and sisters in law, Vincent and Karen Massarotti of Bayshore, NY and John and Michelle Massarotti of Summit, NY. All of us are heartbroken that our Scotty Boy is gone.
He will be buried at Grove Cemetery in Delanson, NY on Route 395 .
