Artist, Theatre Designer. The most influential Spanish set designer of his times. Born in Valencia, Gori began his career as an illustrator and painter during the Second Spanish Republic. In 1937, he created the Spanish Pavilion in the International Exhibition of Paris. An active antifascist fighter, he was forced into exile after the Spanish Civil War. Gori then settled in Buenos Aires, where he won fame as a set designer in the theatre and the cinema. He introduced new perspectives, materials and an innovative use of the colors. Mancini worked in more than two hundred productions with the most prestigious actors and directors in plays of the dramatists Federico García Lorca, Alejandro Casona and Shakespeare, among many others. His film credits include "La Pródiga," "Don Juan Tenorio" and "Las Aguas Bajan Turbias." A retrospective of Muñoz's work was held in Buenos Aires in 2006. He was cremated and according his wishes, his ashes were scattered at sea as a way to return to Valencia.
