Joyce Glen White, 94, of Calhoun City passed from this life at his residence. Born on January 10, 1927 in Toccopola, Mississippi he was a son to the late James Dolph White and Bertha Ann May White.

After searching for many years Glen married his sweetheart, Peggy Johnson White, on August 23, 1950. The couple spent a timeless seventy years together abounding with five children, ten grandchildren, and a lifetime of precious memories made along the path of life. Aside from his family life Glen marked his place in history by serving in not only World War II but also the Korean War. After many years of placing his life on the line for his beloved nation's freedom he retired from the Army National Guard as Sergeant Major Glen White. Upon his return to civilian life he spent several years at Purina Feeds and many years as a salesman for Barringer Chevrolet. Always keeping busy, Glen was longtime member of the Quitman County School board and lifetime member of American Legion Post #4098. After rightfully retiring to enjoy his golden years, he and Peggy found joy in camping especially at their favored site in Mt. View, Arkansas where they cooked annually in the Bean Festival. Glen attended Marks Presbyterian Church where he learned about the wonders of the Lord.

He leaves behind an expansive family to continue making memories along the path of life; two sons: Bobby (Anita) White of Hernando; Stan (Kay) White of Hartsville, Tennessee; three daughters: Shelia (Gerry Fallon) Fancher of Lucedale; Pam (Tony) Parker of Calhoun City; Donna (Glenn) Stafford of Calhoun City; ten grandchildren: JJ "Jennifer" Goehrig, Russell White, Emily (Brian) Carter, Ben (Haley) Fancher, Rob (Tracy) White, Amber (Ira) Stafford, Katie (Meghan) Parker, Kent (Tori) Stafford, Luke Parker, and Creed Stafford; three sisters: "sis" Genero O'Neal of Horn Lake; Ruby O'Bryant of Calhoun, Louisiana; Shirley Carter of Southaven, eight great grandcildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Glen was preceded in death by his loving wife, Peggy Johnson White; parents, James Doff White and Bertha Ann May White; one brother, JD White; five sisters: Christine Hellums, Willie Moore, Inez Bishop, Virgina Bland, and Frankie Fernandez.
