Betty C. George, 93, of Carlisle, passed away on Monday, June 14, 2021 at home.
Born November 5, 1927 in Perry County, she was the daughter of the late Calvin T. And Sadie W. (Waldsmith) Hess. She was the widow of Glen E. George, who passed on March 6, 2011.
Betty was retired from the former Carlisle Hospital where she worked in the Housekeeping Department.
She loved her family, hunting, fishing, camping and any kind of car racing.
Betty came from a large family which included brothers: Dale, Frank Carl and Donald and sisters: Nora Kumler, Charlotte Nace, Ruby Keck and Janet Morrison.
Surviving are her granddaughter: Dawn Moore (Jason); two great grandchildren: Teralin Mixell and Mason Mixell; two great great grandchildren: Serena and Wayne; her former son in law Dennis Mixell, all of Gardners and her loving dog Molly.
She was preceded in death by her son. Edward L. Kuhn
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Friday, June 25, 2021 from the Ronan Funeral Home, 255 York Road, Carlisle. Burial will follow in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens. Viewing will be at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 AM until time of service.
