Shirley M. DePeyster, 66, of Syracuse, passed away Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital. She was a life resident of Syracuse and retired from New Process Gear, worked at Syracuse China and previously ran Ann's Hairstyles. Shirley enjoyed camp-ing, boating and spending summers at her camp on Cross Lake. Predeceased by her father, Wilbur DePeyster; brother, Roy DePeyster and sister, Barbara Broton. Survivors: Her mother, Mae Gmyr, of Massena; brothers, Ron (Rose) DePeyster, of Baldwinsville, and Richard (Marie) Gmyr, of Massena; sisters, Sandra (Jerry) Shuster, of Hastings, Susan Draper, of Syracuse, Janet Gmyr, of Liverpool, Debbie and Pam Gmyr, both of Massena; several nieces, nephews, cousins and beloved dog, Benjie. A private memorial service will be held. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The American Heart Association or the Humane Association. Farone & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
