Thomas J. Ott, Jr., 72, passed away on July 20, 2021, in Clovis, CA.

Tom was born on May 21, 1949, in Bakersfield, CA to Thomas J. Ott, Sr. and Phelma (Fitzhugh) Ott. He graduated East Bakersfield High and received his B.A. in Sociology from California State College, Stanislaus in 1973. His primary career was a sales representative for Warner-Lambert, American Chicle Group, but his calling was to serve the Lord Jesus Christ in several Fresno/Clovis church ministries. He was a Deacon at New Heights Baptist Church where he also worked taking care of church maintenance and helping out wherever he was needed. He was involved in a men's Bible Study Fellowship at Woodward Park Baptist Church, Gideons organization, and a prison ministry. Tom's knowledge of the Bible was remarkable. He was loved, respected and will be greatly missed by family and friends. He could always be found at family gatherings for holidays and celebrations, not wanting to miss the fun time.

He is survived by his sister, Linda Pickett, her husband, Donald; Nephews Michael Pickett, wife, Tara, and their children, Keagan; Reed and David Pickett, wife, Nichole, and their children, Sophie; Adrian. He has numerous other half nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Services will be held at New Heights Baptist Church 6385 N. Fresno St., Fresno CA 93710 on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, at 10 AM. Church viewing 9 to 10 AM before the services. Burial will follow at Clovis Cemetery and a luncheon at Andiamo Ristorante Italiano in Clovis, CA.
