George Jackson "Jack" Armstrong, 69, of Irvine, KY formerly of Lawrenceburg, passed away July 25, 2021, at the home of his daughter. Born April 13, 1952 in Louisville, KY, Jack was the son of the late George Sheridan Armstrong and Ida Belle Montgomery Armstrong.
He attended the University of Kentucky and was a former plant manager with CBRE/Lexmark in Lexington, KY. Of the Christian faith, he was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the International Bluegrass Music Association.
Jack is survived by his children, Carrie Armstrong McDaniel (husband Tony) of Finchville and Chase Armstrong (wife Sara) of Simpsonville; six grandchildren, Hannah McDaniel, Jackson McDaniel, Jonah Milby, Seth Milby, Micah Milby, and Avery Armstrong; a sister, Jo Ross of LaGrange; and a brother, Jim Armstrong (wife Becky) of Pendleton, KY.
Service will be held at 10:00 AM Thursday, July 29th at the Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home, 701 N. Main St., Lawrenceburg, KY with Wes Henry officiating. Burial will be at 1:00 PM Thursday at Louisville Memorial Gardens East in Louisville, KY.
