Jo Ann Jackson, 86, of Carthage, passed away on July 24, 2021 in Carthage around her family. She was born on March 23, 1935 in Rushville to the late John W. and Josephine (Fletcher) Wilson. Jo Ann married Vernon C. Jackson on January 2, 1951 and he preceded her in death on December 4, 1994. She retired from Pioneer International for several years and retired in 2005. Jo Ann had the sweetest soul and cared deeply for everybody. She was known for her Bacon Parties and dancing.
Jo Ann is survived by her son, Jason Jackson of Carthage and daughter, Verna Jackson of Carthage; brother, Lewis L. Glover of TN; daughter-in-law, Peggy Jackson of Rushville; sister, Judy Jackson of Carthage. She will also be missed by her grandchildren, Heather Jackson, Victor Jackson and Samantha (Walter N.) Eicher; great-grandchildren, Austin, Tyler, Jared and Kaitlyn Jackson, Serenity, Symphony, Sincerity, Syllah, Sabella Eicher; and one great-great grandchild, Jemma Jackson and several nieces and nephews.
Jo Ann is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Victor L. Jackson, 2 grandsons, Adam and Joshua Jackson; sisters Olla Mummert and Sue Schideler and Jean Nolley.
Services will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 1 PM in Moster Mortuary, with Pastor Roy Redd presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family from 11 AM until the time of service in the mortuary. Burial will be held in Carthage Cemetery.
