Was a former county clerk of Milam Co. and also served as State Representative of Milam Co. prior to his retirement. Member of First Baptist Church, Rockdale, where he served as a deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Mrs. Belle Christian Roark of Rockdale; 4 sons, Woodrow W. Roark of Temple; Haney C. Roark of Oklahoma City, Max W. Roark of Rosebud and Laddie J. Roark of Culver City, CA.; brother, J.O. Roark of Arlington; 3 Sisters, Miss Maude Roark, Mrs. O.F. Robinett and Mrs. John Luce, all of Arlington; 8 grandchildren, 7 nieces and nephews.
