Robert Douglas (Doug) Scudder, 59, went to be with the Lord on July 17, 2021 in Shreveport, Louisiana. Doug was born in El Paso, Texas on February 24, 1962 to the late Mary Nichols Scudder and Bro. Robert Scudder.
Doug was a devoted father to his only child, Shelby Scudder and a loving husband to his late wife of 31 years, Cindy Scudder. Doug spent the entirety of his career in juvenile justice trying to positively impact the lives of countless youth across the state of Louisiana.
In his free time Doug loved to hunt and fish with his closest friends.
Doug is survived by his daughter, Shelby and fiance Dane of Joaquin, Texas: Grandson Emmett Wade of Joaquin, Texas: Sister-in-law, Deborah Lloyd and husband Tom Halley of Shreveport; Sister-in-law Renee Bonneau and Husband Ron, and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their gratitude for the extended care for Doug by Heritage Manor South in Shreveport along with their nurses and staff. The family would also like to thank LifePath Hospice for their care over the finals days of Doug's life.
