Decatur Dowding Allen, 80, of 1238 Oakland, died at 9:15 p.m. Saturday. He had been a resident of Shreveport for the past 35 years. He had been employed by Frost Lumber company, Weaver Lumber company and Louisiana Longleaf Lumber company. Funeral services will he held at 3 p.m. today at the Wellman funeral chapel. The Rev. M. E. Dodd, pastor of the First Baptist church, will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Park cemetery. Allen is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Doris Allen Fisher; two grandsons, James A. Fisher and Robert P. Fisher; and four great-grandchildren, all of Shreveport. Pallbearers will be E. H. Copeland and S. W. Bower of Shreveport, Walter Scarborough of Benton, Clyde Stone of Nacogdoches, Texas, H. C. Rosenberger of Fisher, La., and P. L. Miller of Couchwood, La.
