She was 90.
Husband Raul Alcala died in 1962.
Husband Pedro German died in 1988.
Anna Maria was born in Torreon, Mexico on 10 January 1909, as a citizen of Spain.
Her educational merits as both student and teacher Assistant to Professors are eminent and diverse.
Anna Maria's studies include the Sorbonne in Paris, Bachelors and Masters degrees from U.S.C., a Masters degree from Cal State L.A., study and performance of the harp with Masters Salcedo and Zavaleta for the Queen of Spain and others, and orchestra membership at Our Lady of the Lake University in San Antonio, Texas.
Teaching and Assistant Professorships over a 60 year period include Colegio Americano de Torreon in Mexico, U.S.C., St. Alphonsus School, Sacred Heart of Mary High School, Jefferson School and. Adult School of Alhambra Unified School District, Berlitz language schools, and piano and harp instruction.
Anna Maria spoke 5 languages fluently.
She was a valued member of the Alliance Franchise and served as president of Omega Alpah Delta.
Anna Maria was the author of a children's story book.
She traveled internationally on her self-inspired genealogical research project to trace her lineage to the 13th century.
Anna Maria is an inspiration to her family, her countless students and several friends and acquaintances and is deeply missed.
She is survived by her beloved children, Raoul H. Alcala of Falls Church, Virginia, Marie T. Trojano of Fremont, California, Rodney J. Alcala of Monterey Park, California, and Kriss Klausen of Whittier, California; 7 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Monday from 10am-10:30am at Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal, 820 N. Garfield Avenue, Montebello, CA.
The Funeral Mass begins at 10:30am.
Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Monterey Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Catholic Charities of Los Angeles, Attn: Monsignor A. Cox, PO Box 15095.
