Betty Ruth Davis Porter, 82 passed away on July 23rd, 2021. Betty, affectionately known as "Gran" to most, was born on June 18, 1939 in Grayson County, KY but lived most of her life in Louisville.
She was a member of the Church of Christ. She was married to her Husband Patrick Porter for 61 years and together they had two children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leck and Myrtle Purcell Davis, four brothers, four sisters and her Grandson Dylan Yaden.
Betty is survived by her Husband Pat, Daughter Alisa Miller (Joe), Son Patrick Todd Porter (Sherri), Grandchildren Brandy McDonald (Matt), Brent Miller (Jennifer), Lucas Porter, Colten Porter and Great-Grandchildren Shelby McDonald, Sophia McDonald and Blake Miller. Betty has two surviving sisters, Patsy Cockrell and Carolyn Cooper.
Betty's funeral service will be at 7:00 PM on Monday, July 26, 2021 at Owen Funeral Home with cremation to follow. Visitation will be from 2:00 – 7:00 PM on Monday before the funeral.
