Leo Wentworth Elliott, Jr., 82, of Pecos, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, September 26, 2009, at Odessa Medical Center Hospital.

Visitation will be held from 3 -5 p.m. Sunday, September 27 at Pecos Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, September 28 at 4th & Bois d'Arc Church of Christ. Burial will follow in Mt. Evergreen Cemetery.

Leo was born April 13, 1927 in Lone Oak, Texas to Leo Wentworth, Sr. and Louise Ende Elliott. He was a resident of Pecos since 1952 and was owner of Elliott Printing since 1955. He was a member and an Elder of 4th & Bois d'Arc Church of Christ. He was a volunteer for the Pecos Fire Department for 43 years and Pecos Ambulance Service for 21 years. He was a coach of the Pony League team that went to the Pony League World Series in 1971. He was awarded the Citizen of the Year Award in 1981.

Leo was married to May LaVoy O'Neil on June 11, 1951 in Pecos, Texas. She preceded him in death on February 8, 1965. He married Sue Dudley Holminski on April 29, 1967 in Pecos, Texas.

Survivors include his wife Sue Elliott of Pecos; children, Jim Elliott and wife Lisa of San Angelo, Johnny Elliott and wife Angela of Pecos, Tommy Elliott and wife Elsa of Lewisville, Bill Elliott of Farmers Branch, Darrell Holminski of Knoxville, Tenn., Cheryl Burton and husband Gary of Willow Park; grandchildren, Stephen Elliott, Michael Elliott and wife Kelly, Matthew Elliott, Joshua Elliott, Lauren Elliott, Doug Elliott, Todd Elliott, Sara Elliott, Clint Burton and wife Sarah, Nick Burton and wife Kaylyn, Jeremy Burton, Chontae Feldman and husband Mark, Michael Paul Landtroop and wife Amy; great-grandchildren, Dylan Elliott, Brianna Burton, James Clint Burton, Summer Burton, Julia Feldman, Abrianna Landtroop and Mathew Landtroop; sister, Dottie Elliott of Longview; nieces, Jan Johnson and husband Don, Ann Brogotti and husband Randy, Jackie McMahan and husband Lester and Tommy Burk and wife Gina and numerous great nieces and nephews.

Honorary pallbearers will be retired members of the Pecos Fire Department and Pecos Ambulance Service.

Memorials may be made to the Pecos Church of Christ or a favorite charity. Arrangements are under the direction of the Pecos Funeral Home.
