Ocala - Billy Richard White, Jr. passed away peacefully in his home in Ocala, FL on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at the age of 76.
He was born on June 29, 1945, in Knoxville, Tennessee. Bill was happily married to Mary Ann White for 46 years, prior to Mary's passing on December 20, 2016 at the age of 71. He has missed her every day since and is at home with her now.
He is survived by his younger brother, Mike White. Bill is also survived by his two boys, Scott and Chris, as well as his daughter, Cynthia Dockery. He was a proud "Grandpa" of 7 wonderful grandchildren who he was very close with. In addition to being a dedicated husband and father, in his youth Bill was a standout high school athlete and went on to box in the Army, winning several Golden Gloves awards. As a member of the United States Army, he traveled the world and had plenty of great stories to share.
Bill was a Mason in the Shriners organization and proud to be a member. He will be laid to rest in the Florida National Cemetery for Veterans in a private service in the coming weeks. Bill will also be remembered for his love of the beach, how much he enjoyed taking care of his yard and his deep love for his family. He will truly be missed by us all. God Bless.
