FIFE LAKE — Berneita Blanch Gauld, 87, of Fife Lake, died on Saturday, Oct. 06, 2007. She was born in Cassopolis, Mich., on May 9, 1920, the daughter of Willard and Retha (Wright) Hartzell.

She married Glade Gauld on April 30, 1938, in Fife Lake. She and her husband enjoyed traveling in their motor home and wintered in Nevada around Quartsite and Bullhead City.

Berneita really enjoyed partying and dancing, making latch hook rugs, painting pictures and playing slot machines at casinos. Berneita never complained about anything, had a great sense of humor and truly loved her family.

Berneita is survived by six children, Aneita (Stan) Mongar of Cadillac, Gale (Judy) Gauld of Fife Lake, Jane (Phil) Rogers of Fife Lake, Dale (Becky) Gauld of Fife Lake, Roy (Nancy) Gauld of Fife Lake and Jerry (Kim) Gauld of Fife Lake; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Glade Gauld; parents; grandson, Myron "Butchie" Lambert Jr.; and great-granddaughter, Carly Belknap-Budrow.

A funeral service will be held today, Oct. 11, 2007, at 11 a.m., at Covell Funeral Home in Kingsley, with Elder Linda Bridson officiating. Burial will take place in Clark Cemetery in Fife Lake.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Covell Funeral Home.
