Raymond Donald Lovelace was born near Pineville, Arkansas, August 21, 1928, son of Jeffery and Nora Drown Lovelace. Raymond is survived by his best friend and wife, Vergie Marie Mooney Lovelace, of almost seventy-five years.
He is also survived by his only child, Kathryn Lovelace Miller & husband, Joseph Miller of Katy, Texas. His granddaughters, Robin Cashman & husband, Don, of Katy, Texas and granddaughter Kara Coleman and husband, Andrew Ditmars of Phoenix, Arizona.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Raymond retired after a long career as a mechanic for the Kansas City, Missouri, Police Department. Raymond and Vergie lived most of their married life in Kansas City, Mo. And Kearney, Mo. They moved to Katy, Texas, six years ago to be near family.
He enjoyed a long retirement and traveling with Vergie. He enjoyed the outdoors and especially gardening, reading, traveling, and his cat, Romeo.
Graveside funeral service will be Monday July 26, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the Cross Roads Wise Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Eddie's Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
