Full name is Jerdon William Francis; but always known as J.W. Francis.

Jerdon W. Francis, 80, a lifetime resident of West Plains, MO. Mr. Francis went to be with his Heavenly Father on July 10, 2007, in Brooke Haven Healthcare. He was born Aug. 10, 1926, in West Plains to Beryl Lee and Madeline Wright Francis.
On June 8, 1946 he was married at Kansas City, KS to June Woods.
Mr. Francis was owner and operator of Phillips 66 Service Station on East Main for a number of years. He also managed South Howell County Ambulance before his retirement in 1988. He did clock and watch repair, and most recently drove for area car lots and Robertson-Drago Funeral Home.
He was a lifetime member and elder of First Congregational Methodist Church in West Plains.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, June Francis, of the family home; one son, Joe Francis, wife, Shirlee of Jacksonville, AR; two grandchildren, Trichia Thomas, and husband, Chuck of Jacksonville, AR; and Robert Francis of Little Rock, AR; and three great-grandchildren.
His grandparents; parents; and one infant daughter, Sheryl Ann Francis, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be July 12, 2007 in the Rose Chapel, Robertson-Drago Funeral Home. Mr. Francis will lie in state until service time. Burial will be at Oak Lawn Cemetery.
