Paul D. Nelson, age 66, of Geneseo, passed away suddenly Friday, July 23, 2021 at his residence. He was predeceased by his parents, Douglas and Marie Nelson, his first wife, Mary Stock Nelson.
He is survived by his wife, Sally, brother, Calvin Nelson of Perry, cousin, Terry (Electa) Johnson of Geneseo, step children, Zacharie (Nicole) Phillips of Livonia, Jesse (Jessica) Phillips of Dalton, Ian (Annette) Phillips of Nunda, 6 grandchildren, nephews, Douglas (Chrissy) Nelson, Miles Nelson all of Perry, his canine companion, Nigel, several cousins and many dear friends.
Paulie was born June 18, 1955 in Rochester, NY the son of Calvin Douglas and Violet Marie Johnson Nelson. He was a graduate of Geneseo High School class of 1973 where he was a member of the football and baseball teams. He owned and operated the Uptown Lounge in Geneseo for many years. Paulie was a well-known and renowned bartender at the Big Tree Inn in Geneseo. He was an avid Cleveland Browns, Buffalo Sabres and Los Angeles Dodgers fan. Paulie loved to travel and attended many music festivals with the New Orleans Jazz Festival being his favorite.
Interment in Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo.
