Dorothy Margaret Schwartz was born near Waelder, Texas, on June 24, 1924, to "Joe" and Mattie Fogle, both of whom predeceased her. She married William Douglas Schwartz on June 21,1955, who predeceased her. Dorothy is survived by her two sons, Gene Douglas Schwartz and Andy Brice Schwartz. She was one of ten siblings. Brothers, Harry, Marvin, and Monroe, and sister, Jessie, predeceased her. She is survived by brothers, Truett, Stephen, and Walter Joe, and sisters Velma and Janice.
Dorothy graduated from Mary Hardin-Baylor in 1951 and began her career as a teacher both in schools and Sunday Schools. She stopped teaching school in 2015 at the age of 91. She was a committed Christian who loved Jesus and shared that love. Dorothy was always willing to share a clean joke that made everyone laugh.
