Mrs. Nona Bodden Wilson, age 86, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi, passed away on Thursday, July 22, 2021.

Nona was born on September 25, 1934, in Mobile, Alabama. She was employed with the Jackson County School District as a bus driver for the St. Martin School District and was the owner of Daisy's Ice Cream and Popcorn at Singing River Mall. She was a member of Lemoyne Blvd. Baptist Church, a former member of McClellan Rd. Baptist Church and of Fernwood Baptist Church.

Nona was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William Bruce Wilson, Sr., daughter, Patricia Crowder, parents, Louis and Della Bodden, father-in-law and mother-in-law, Swade and Anna Wilson and brothers, Lewis Bodden, David Bodden and Edward Bodden.

Survivors include a daughter, Angeline Wilson Groves, sons, Nate (Marla) Wilson, Bruce (Maxine Seymour) Wilson, Jr., grandchildren, Nathaniel and Anna Groves and Jerry Williams, Jr, two great-grandchildren, Briana and Zachary Williams and son-in-law, Gerald Crowder.

Visitation will be on Sunday, July 25, from 5pm until 7pm, at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford O'Keefe Funeral Home. On Monday, July 26, Mrs. Wilson will lie in state from 10am until 11am, with an 11am church service, at Lemoyne Blvd. Baptist Church.

Burial will follow in D'Iberville Memorial Park.

The family would like to to extend a special thanks to the Lighthouse Memory Care and Notre Dame Hospice for their care and compassion of our loved one.
