William "Bill" Franklin Coulter, 74, of North Platte, passed away July 22, 2021 at Hilltop Estates in Gothenburg. He was born on January 18, 1947 to Gilbert and Ardella (Kennedy) Coulter in Broken Bow.

Bill attended high school at Mount St. Francis Seminary for three years and graduated from Kearney Catholic High School with the class of 1965. He received a bachelor's degree in Theology from Benedictine College in Atchinson, KS. Bill enlisted in the United States Navy from 1969-1973 as a signalman. After his discharge, he worked for vocational rehabilitation services in North Platte from 1974-1978 as a rehabilitation counselor.

At his job, Bill met his future wife Reva Cotton and they were married on June 24, 1978 in North Platte. The couple lived in North Platte and he hired on the Union Pacific Railroad in the Fruit Express department and retired in 2008.

Bill loved auctions, John Deere tractors, gardening and was a collector of many things. He loved to go camping and spend time with family. He had a love of music and sang at church with his daughter Leanna. Bill loved all genres, from classical to rock and enjoyed collecting records.

Survivors include wife Reva of North Platte; daughter, Rebecca (fiancé Jason Bennett) Coulter of West Palm Beach, FL; twin brother, Robert (Mary) Coulter of Lincoln; brother-in-law, Ed Terlaje of Guam; sisters-in law, Carolyn Anthony of North Platte and Lois Cotton of Stapleton; several other family members and many friends.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Leanna; sister, Shirley Terlaje; brothers, Claris and Father Larry Coulter.

Christian Wake Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 A.M., Monday, July 26, 2021 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church with Reverend Gary Coulter and Reverend Josh Brown officiating. Burial will follow at Miller Cemetery near Tryon. Adams & Swanson Funeral Home which is in charge of arrangements.
