James Hester, age 38, of Douglas, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 as a result of an auto accident. Mr. Hester was born on October 3, 1982 in Houston, Texas the son of Jimmy & Patricia Ann Morris Hester.
Mr. Hester worked as a maintenance operator and was of the Baptist Faith.

His wife, Candice Merritt of Broxton, GA.
Three daughters: Shelby Hester & Emily Hester both of Broxton, GA and Destiny Hester of Douglas, GA
One son, Grady Hester of Broxton, GA.
Parents, Jimmy & Patricia Ann Morris Hester of Douglas, GA.
Four brothers: Jimmy Lee Hester, Alvin Hester and Marty DeWayne Davis all of Douglas, GA and, Jimmy Ray Hester of Fitzgerald, GA.
One sister, Cynthia Lorraine Sprinkle of Douglas, GA.
The family received friends Monday, July 26, 2021 from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home.
Funeral services were held on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 4:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Loyce Burkett officiating. The interment followed at Anderson Cemetery. Pallbearers were: Anthony Droll, Brandon Burkett, Tony Dugue, Gregory Williams and Shane Barton.
Sims Funeral Home, Douglas, Ga was in charge of arrangements.
