Marion H. Warner, 95, of Rockford, IL, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning, July 21, 2021 at OSF St. Anthony Medical Center. She was born April 30, 1926 in Polk, NE, the daughter of Clarence and Ellen (Hawkinson) Anderson. Marion married her sweetheart, Earl Warner on August 10, 1946 in Rockford, IL. She started as a secretary at Rockford Screw Products and went on to work for Rockford Washer. Marion was one of the first women in the United States to get her own franchise store, when she started Best Maytag Home Appliance Center in 1980. She was always seen bowling on Monday night in her league. She enjoyed spending time at the lake in Wisconsin as well as traveling worldwide. Marion and Earl would travel to Aruba every year for over 30 years. She was a member of the SMSF Club for many years. Marion loved doing ceramics. She was the matriarch of our family and she will truly be missed.

Marion leaves behind her children, Linda (Brad) Burman and Steve (Wendy) Warner; grandchildren, Ellen Burman and Nolan Burman; great-grandchildren, Kasin Espinoza and Ellera Espinoza; numerous nieces and nephews and special friend, Curt Gustafson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl, siblings Rodney, Ralph, Harlan and special friend Marilyn Gustafson.

A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at Sunset Funeral Home, 8800 N. Alpine Rd, Machesney Park, IL 61115 with a funeral service to begin at 2:00 p.m. Entombment at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
