Michael Dale Murray, 73, formerly of Anderson died on July 17, 2021 at his residence in Westmoreland, Tennessee.

He was born on September 11, 1947 in Anderson, IN to Dale James Charles and Stella Ethel (Mikeworth) Murray.

He worked in sales at Fullerton Metals, Westfield Steel, and at Omni Source. He was a member of Olive Branch Christian Church; He loved playing golf, hunting, fishing and especially traveling with his wife. He was a member of the AHS Band Boosters and served as vice-president for several years.

He is survived by his 2 daughters, Jillanne (Gary) Heywood of Buxton, Maine and Amanda (Rob) Snyder of Hendersonville, Tennessee; 5 grandchildren, Alexsa (Franklin) Johnson, Kelsey Briggs, Bridget Bireley, Charles Bireley, and Tiernan Snyder; 3 great-grandchildren, Gwen Fowler, Lucy Briggs, and Frankie Johnson; a sister-nil-law, Susan Schaub of Indianapolis; a niece, Stacy (Celeste) Hoyle-Purdue of Alexandria and a nephew, Chris (Molly) Hoyle of Anderson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Ila Murray; a sister, Phyllis Murray Hoyle; and 2 brothers-in-law, Charles W. Anderson and Bob Schaub.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Rozelle-Johnson Funeral Service with Ned Clark officiating. A burial of cremated remains will take place in East Maplewood Cemetery.
