William E. Rabior, beloved husband and devoted father passed away Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017 at From the Heart Assisted Living in Bay City at the age 70 years. The son of the late Euclid and Cecille (Newman) Rabior, William was born June 20, 1947 in Cheboygan. He received his master's degrees from Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa, Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. He married the love of his life, Susan Charters, on July 15, 1996. She survives him along with their daughter, Gabrielle "Elle" Rabior, whom he cherished.
Bill, who was loving to all, known for his compassion and kindness and using his deep faith in God, always reached out to those in need. He was employed by the Diocese of Gaylord and St. Mary's of Michigan Hospital in Saginaw. He was also a counselor for the Grief Support Group at the Snow Funeral Home. He was a published author of over a dozen books and multiple pamphlets. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church and past member of the Knights of Columbus and the Rotary Club.
Bill also enjoyed Broadway, music, history, archeology, archery, playing his accordion and movie-going with his family. Bill was a joy to be around and brought smiles to many faces with his acute sense of humor.

Surviving, besides his loving wife of 21 years, Susan, and daughter, Gabrielle "Elle", are his father-in-law, Clarence "Jiggs" Charters; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Brad (Deb) Charters, Dale Charters, Tracy Charters and Don Charters; and his friend, Shannon; the Hunt and Robillard cousins; and several nieces and nephews. Also surviving him are many special friends, especially the Rev. Fr. Robert Gohm, the Rev. Fr. Denis Spitzley, David Wachowiak, the Bedard family and Karen Abate.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Rabior; and mother-in-law, Marcia Charters.
