It is with great sadness that we, the family of Gyda Dorothy Scott, announce her passing. She died at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital on Monday, May 23rd, 2017. Born in Fredericton, NB, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Hazel (Love) Burns and the wife of the late R. Keith Scott.
Survived by daughters, Gayle MacPherson of Calgary, AB, Marina Scott of Fredericton, NB, Lori Donovan (Michael) and daughter-in-law, Denise Cameron, all of Fredericton, NB; grandchildren, Jody, David and Shannon MacPherson, Peter McArthur (Serena), Nathan, Nicholas (and their mother, Pat), Noah Scott, Jennie and Alexa Donovan; great grandchildren, Josh and Emily Burt, Cloe Kitt- MacPherson and Liam McArthur; sister, Margaret Hawkes of Fredericton, NB; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; husband, Keith; son, Andy Scott; brother, Jack Burns; son-in-law, Paul MacPherson; infant grandson, David John McArthur; brother-in-law, Joe Hawkes.
The funeral service will be held at Gibson Memorial Church on Monday, May 29th, 2017 at 11 am. Rev. Murray McFarlane will officiate. Interment will be in the Fredericton Rural Cemetery (sic). For those who wish, memorial tributes may be made to Gibson Memorial United Church, New Brunswick Heart and Stroke Foundation, Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.
