Mike was well known and respected for his mechanical knowledge. He worked for the Ford garage in Anadarko during school and after graduating from Anadarko High School and continued in this line for many years at several establishments, even becoming proprietor of Dyer's Auto in Anadarko. In his later years, he became a mechanic of oilfield equipment. He was an avid OU Football fan and always watched their games. He really enjoyed his life in the country watching his horses graze and the deer roam after purchasing a farm in McLoud, Oklahoma. He was at peace on this farm.
Mike is survived by his wife, Kathleen Dyer of the home in McLoud, Oklahoma; son Michael Chad Dyer and his wife Mellissa of Duncan, Oklahoma; two daughters, Candice Annette Hurlocker of Duncan, Oklahoma and Sheila Baden of Nicoma Park, Oklahoma; grandchildren Chelsey and Conner Hurlocker of Duncan, Oklahoma; Bailey and Makayla Dyer of Edmond, Oklahoma; Brittany Beets of Norman, Oklahoma; and Thomas James (TJ) and Cara Baden of McLoud, Oklahoma.
Great grand children include: Milo Dyer of Edmond, Oklahoma; Cheyanne, Charlsie and Tyler Baden of McLoud, Oklahoma; Stetson and Zayden Beets of Norman, Oklahoma. Additional survivors are his mother, Zona Mae Clark of Noble, Oklahoma; sister Linda Carol Daniels and her husband Mark of Sallisaw, Oklahoma; sister-in-law Shirley Dyer of Anadarko, Oklahoma; Uncle Oliver Duree of Midwest City, Oklahoma and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Edsel Dyer, grandparents, Otto and Zella Duree and brother Robert William Dyer.
