GOODYEAR, Ariz. — Tina (Rudloff) Erickson, 35, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, at Vallejo, Calif.

Funeral services will be Monday, Nov. 19, at the First United Methodist Church, Brookings, S.D. with the Rev. Teri Johnson officiating.

Burial will be at Rose Hill Cemetery, Clark, S.D.

Visitation at Rude's Funeral Home, Brookings.

Tina Marie (Rudloff) Erickson grew up in Brookings, graduated from Brookings High School in 1990 and later graduated from SDSU with a graphic design degree in 1995.

She was born June 21, 1972, in Brookings, the daughter of Leonard and Sherry (Schulz) Rudloff.

She had an infectious personality. Anyone who met her could never forget her due to her effervescent personality, big smile and gracious demeanor. She loved people - whether she knew them or not and the more diverse, the more interesting to her. But, family was her soft spot. She had deep affection for her nephew and niece, Kyle and Charice.

She was successful in taking advantage of the simple joys of life. Hiking, biking, golfing and traveling were just a few of the things that she found most fulfilling. Much of her casual wardrobe displayed the phrase "Life is Good" which is how she most often viewed life. Her sense of humor defined her.

High school basketball, whether the team was successful or not, had a major impact on her competitive personality and commitment to succeed in adulthood.

She and Eric Erickson met at SDSU in 1994 while they worked at the Collegian and College Radio station. They were married in Brookings in Aug. 1996. They made their home in Brookings until 2000, when they moved to Sioux Falls.

While there, she grew her own advertising business into a successful venture. In 2002, she and Eric moved to Arizona where they lived until her death.

As much as she liked people, she may have loved dogs just a little more. Allie, a terrier, has been the "little girl" to the couple since their first year of marriage.

She was extremely bright and generous and wanted badly to make a difference in the lives of people.

Survivors include her husband, Eric Erickson of Goodyear, Ariz.; her parents, Leonard and Sherry Rudloff of Sioux Falls, S.D.; her sister, Tracie Brooks and her husband Brian of Sioux Falls, S.D.; her grandmother, Bonnie Schulz of Clark, S.D.; and her mother-in-law, Nancy Gravley of Jackson, Minn.
