Evelyn Arlene Kemberling 94 of Marysville, PA passed away Saturday July 17, 2021, 5 days short of her 95th birthday at her home with her family by her side. She was born in Blain, PA on July 22, 1926 to the late James Floyd and Blanche Irene (Wentz) Shumaker. She was their 12th child and the last living. The family moved to Enola in 1929.
Evelyn married Foster Leroy Kemberling on June 24, 1945. They were married 61 years until his passing in 2006. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, reading her Bible, and most importantly she enjoyed spending time with her family. She also attended the Enola First Church of God.
She is survived by her daughters, Judith I. Messinger (George) of Enola, PA, Bernita L. Brumbaugh (Joseph) of Vancouver, WA and a son Arden L. Kemberling (Nancy) of Harrisburg, PA, 2 grandsons, Matthew Messinger (Michele) of Camp Hill, PA, Gregory Messinger (Janet) of North Olmsted, OH, granddaughter, Ashley Quimby (Dan) of Liberty, PA, great- granddaughter, Kelsey Messinger and great-grandson, Eric Messinger.
Funeral services will be held, Friday July 23, 2021 at 12:00 pm in the Richardson Funeral Home LLC, 29 S. Enola Dr. Enola, PA.
A viewing will be held from 11:00 am until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Pauls Lutheran Church Cemetery , Enola.
