He was born February 6, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan.
David retired from the Navy after 24 years as a radio man. He retired as a Senior Chief. He worked as a Government Contractor for five years; then finally retired as an insurance agent and employee from Sisco Funeral Chapel.
He enjoyed family, fishing, horseback riding, music, and his pets. He was a member of FBC Lowell.
He is preceded in death by his father, Alford Shelley, his mother Opal Webb, his stepfather Kenneth Webb, and sister Sandra Shelley.
Survivors include his wife, Gail, and his four children: Dave Shelley and his wife Kerry of Illinois; his daughter, Karen Gowran and her husband Paul of New York; Gailann White, and her husband Ron of Texas; Samantha King, and her husband Cody of Texas; 11 grandchildren; and 1 great-grandchild. He is also survived by his brother Jim of Alaska, and his wife Linda.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 26, 2021 at 10 AM at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale with Gary Thomas officiating. Interment will be at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
