Cecil A. 'Sis' McFarland, 70, RR 6, Connersville, died Wednesday, November 19, 1986, at Fayette Memorial Hospital where she had been admitted earlier in the day. She was born in Laurel, was employed at the Gray Haven Motel in the housekeeping department and had worked in the kitchen of the Holiday Inn. She was a member of the Central Christian Church. Survivors include her husband Richard; five sons, Dennis McFarland, William McFarland and William Payne Lucas, Connersville, Denver McFarland, Bentonville, John W. McFarland; four daughters, Arminta Proctor, Jean Long, Barbara Harsh and Marsha Rowe, all of Connersville; one brother, William Clyde Lucas, Connersville; 28 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and one nephew. Private funeral services were at the convenience of the family with Rev. James Orr officiating. Burial was in Everton Cemetery. Showalter-Blackwell-Myers Chapel was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Fund or the Fayette County Cancer Society.
