Portland – Kenneth (Kenny) Carter born to John B. and Virginia Carter on June 26, 1956, passed away suddenly on Sunday, July 20, 2021 at St. Vincent Randolph County Hospital.

Kenny was a 1974 graduate of Okmulgee High School.

He married the love of his life Peggy (Russell) Carter in 1979 and to this union two sons were born.

He was a long- time employee of both Jay Products and Priority Plastics of Portland, IN.

Kenny was a simple, easy-going guy who worked hard, loved listening to music and spending time with his family. He was the best husband, father and Paw.

Surviving are his wife Peggy, of forty-three years; his mother; two sons, KC (Michelle) Carter, Robert (Tatum) Carter; grandsons, Taylor Carter and Riley Taylor; two brothers, Jay H. Carter, Tom Carter and their families.

His father, John preceded him in death.

Kenny will be sorely missed by all who knew him.

Cremation will take place and a private family memorial service will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to The American Cancer Society.
