He was born in Russellville, Arkansas, to Elias and Mary J. (Chrites) Kendrick. He married Vida Scott and was a minister with the Assembly's of God, retiring in 1972. After retiring, he worked as a truck driver for Latimer County District II. He was a resident of Wilburton and passed away in McAlester at the age of 91. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Vida; his sons, David Kendrick and Orval Kendrick and a daughter, Jane Trammell.
