He is survived by his mother, Rose Scott Barron; his stepfather, James Barron; sister, Viennesse "Shay" Rollerson (James "J.T.); grandfather, Alvin Scott, Sr.; step grandmother, Catherine Graddick; aunts: Shelle Hoskins (Albert), Lucille Miles and Vontella Smith (Arthur); uncle, Alvin Scott, Jr.; step aunt, Katherine "Elaine" Barron and a host of other loving relatives and sympathetic friends.

Funeral services celebrating the life of Brandon Devere' Scott will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. in Voice of Hope Church Worship Center, 249 St. Phillip Street, Charleston, SC 29403. There will not be a visitation service for Brandon this evening.

A 21-year-old art student found dead in a dormitory room at Coastal Carolina University died of natural causes, according to an Horry County coroner.

Horry Country Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick said that an autopsy performed Sunday morning revealed Brandon Devere Scott had a history of cardiac problems and died of natural causes. No foul play is suspected.

Scott's body was found inside a residence hall on the CCU campus around 9:30 a.m. Saturday. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division was investigating the death.
